In this regard, there is an emerging consensus is, brain is not the cause of consciousness.<br /><br />In this regard, I would like to bring to the notice that there is an Indian spiritual discipline, Raja Yoga, which teaches that, consciousness is caused by an infinitesimal point of non physical energy source. I am so sorry to have missed this conference of so many bright minds - however all of them succumbing to that ancient and unidentified cover-noumenon of the odd 'consciousness' - applied by many identified according to the needs of his actual theory. <br />I substituted Ccness by a term (needing an update since 1992):<br />"Response to information" extended beyond the mentally functional(?) i.e. 'living' (animate??) in any way it occurs and pointed in the generally used mental sense to the 'brain' as a tool of doing it. <br />Now I prefer to think in the term: relations, and identify the part: <br /> 'information' as the acknowledged relations. <br /><br />Sincewrely<br />John Mikes Ph.D., D.Sc.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
